The web resources at my company are expanding, so we've been long researching our options and have finally signed up with a co-location centre. As the resident techie guy I was sent to install our servers in our new rented cabinets and sort out all the network connections, and so on.

But I must say, it's a bit of a creepy place! Maybe I've just watched too many episodes of 24 where people have been shot in the server rooms at CTU, but it was pretty grim and industrial, and really desolate with just the buzzing of all the electrical equipment.

I guess they just don't need to have it any other way - it's just a building full of technical equipment that people only access on occasion, it doesn't matter what it looks like! Still a bit creepy though...
